Developing a Functional Communication System

Teaching individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders can often be challenging when selecting goals to be targeted. However, pivotal in any program needs to be a functional communication system.
This presentation will discuss the importance of a functional communication system, various tools that can be utilized, techniques that can assist with implementation of it and ways to ensure it functionality in the everyday lives of people with ASD. Examples will be given for each tool.
