How to get to the Conference

This year's Red Door Autism Conference is being held in UCD's Health Sciences Building in Belfield. The UCD campus lies just off the N11, otherwise known as the Bray Road, or the Stillorgan dual-carriageway. Belfield lies between Donnybrook and Stillorgan, in South Dublin.

Travelling by car

From M50, heading South

Exit at Junction 14 (Dun Laoghaire) and, passing Bewley's Hotel on your left on the N31, go through Leopardstown roundabout, passing the Racecourse entrance on your right. Approx 1.3 Miles/2.1Km, you get  to the junction with the N11 junction (Stillorgan dual-carriageway). Turn left, heading back into town, and go for 2.6 Miles/4.1Km amd you will see the Belfield campus sliproad off N11 before you pass under the Belfield fly-over.

From M50, heading North

Exit at Junction 13 (Sandyford) and cross over motorway, heading on R113 signposted for City Centre. Travel for 2.8 Miles/4.5Km, passing The Beacon Hotel/Clinic on your right, and the Goat Pub on your left. You will pass the Mosque going into Clonskeagh, and Belfield's rear entrance is there, signposted, turning right.

Alternatively, if you are coming from Wicklow, stay on the N11, and don't go onto the M50!

Parking

There are several car parks in the Belfield campus, most of them are free-of-charge (a few are pay-and-display). They are all unreserved, and generally they can be near full by 9:00am. Please note that there is clamping carried out on illeaglly-parked cars.

Public Transport

Bus - Dublin Bus
Dublin Bus numbers 3, 10, 11B, and the 17 all provide direct services to the Belfield campus. The numbers 3, 10 and 11B can be boarded at O'Connell Street. See timetable information.

Bus - Bus Eireann
Bus Éireann provides a nationwide bus service, with most major areas having a regular link to Dublin. The majority of Dublin services terminate in Busáras (Central Bus Station, Dublin) from where it is a short walk to O'Connell Street for connecting buses to UCD.

Bus Éireann operates two free daily shuttle services from UCD, Belfield Campus to Busáras (Central Bus Station, Dublin). These services operate daily to Busáras, during the college term and are available for holders of valid Bus Éireann tickets only. In addition to this, several services from the Greater Dublin area directly serve UCD, Belfield Campus.

Taxi
There are usually an adequate number of taxis in operation in the city centre at any given time. It is possible to hail a taxi from the street, but convenient taxi ranks are located on O'Connell Street, Middle Abbey Street, Dame Street and St Stephens Green. 

In Belfield, How to find the Health Sciences Building

Once in Belfield, you can find the Health Science Building by following the orbital road around the campus. From the Clonskeagh entrance, turn left at the first mini-roundabout, at the tennis courts, and follow the road around for another 600 yds. From the N11 entrance, turn left, and follow this road around the playing fields and various buildings for approx 1 mile. After turning sharp left, with more playing fields on your left, take the right-hand turn at the mini-roundabout at the tennis courts, and follow this around for another 600 yds.
